Every evening, outside a tea business in Gota, Ahmedabad, the same dogs waited. Thin, hopeful, and entirely dependent on whether someone showed up.
Bhau Bhau Biscuits began there, under the roof of Maa Ke Hath Ki Chai by Pratima Pre-Mix. Feeding the dogs was never the hard part — carrying the food was. Leftovers spoil by afternoon. Curries are far too salty for a dog. Nobody wants a leaking bag of rice in their scooter. So people who wanted to help did it once, felt good, and then quietly stopped.
So we made the boring thing that actually works
A dry, 100% vegetarian, energy-dense biscuit that survives a bag, a bike and a monsoon. No cooking. No refrigeration. No mess. 412 kcal per 100 g, so a single handful genuinely helps a hungry dog rather than just filling it up. And a 4 KG pack at ₹500 — priced so that a regular feeder could keep it up month after month, which is the only kind of feeding that changes anything.
Where it has gone
Since launch we have delivered 296 packs — 1,184 KG of biscuits — to 79 cities across 15 states. Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Surat most of all, but also Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Nagpur, Madurai, Panchkula and Goa. What we are not
We are not an NGO and we do not ask for donations. We make a product, we sell it at a price that works, and the feeding is done by you. If you want to do more than feed — vaccination, sterilisation, rescue — our guides point you to the people who do that work properly.
